Tracking and identifying carriers, racks and jigs

Carriers and racks are located in various indoor and outdoor areas of the manufacturer’s facilities as well as at the customer’s sites. Providing transparency of the whereabouts of carriers and racks at any time through location and identification enables a reduction of the search effort, unnecessary transport and the total assets required. Combining direct and indirect location methods improves cost-effectiveness.

The ASSETFINDER application provides real-time information about the location of carriers and racks in the outdoor and indoor areas of a facility, whether it be the user’s own or the customer’s or at an external service provider.
Data on the carriers and racks may be taken from a central repository and associated with the location and identification system „tags“. In this way reliable information about the location of the tracked objects can be provided via OpenStreetMaps as well as on customer-specific map material.

A permanently up-to-date inventory record using automatic identification ensures that all the required materials are available when needed. Combining direct and indirect location methods can improve cost-effectiveness.

The ASSETFINDER application provides real-time information about the location and presence of equipment and materials in vehicles or on construction sites. Data on the equipment and materials may be taken from a central repository and associated with the identification system „tags“. OpenStreetMaps as well as customer-specific map or schematic materials are used to provide information about the presence of the tracked objects.

The ASSETTRACKER application provides real-time information on the location and movements of industrial trucks in the indoor and outdoor storage areas of the plant.
Data on the industrial trucks may be taken from a central repository and associated with the location system „tags“. In combination with automatic identification or recording the weight of the load, reliable information about the operation can be provided. Dashboards may be used to present current status and historical analysis.

Bills of material of production orders consist of various materials, parts and components that are picked from the warehouse stock when the production order is released. An up-to-date transparency at any time about the whereabouts of the relevant materials including possible missing parts using location and identification enables the efficient supply to the production with a significant reduction of errors and waiting times. In combination with eLabels the status of the picked order can be presented directly on the shop floor.

The PRODUCTTRACKER application provides information about the location and status of commissioning orders including any missing parts in the production process. The application enables an implementation of e-Kanban by monitoring objects in buffer areas. It can automatically load released production orders from a central ERP or MES and associates them with the location and identification system tags. It provides reliable information about the location in the process steps and buffer areas. Dashboards present the current and historical production status.

It automatically loads released shipping orders from the systems that hold the master data, associates them with the tracking and identification system „tags“ and provides reliable information about the whereabouts and movements in the shipping area. Dashboards present the current and historical shipping status.
